What is Kids Playing? It’s the kids day camp with the grown-up difference. What do we mean by that? For starters, adults, not high school kids, supervise your kids. They’re coaches, teachers, mothers, and college students. People who know how to motivate kids, and keep them focused. What’s more, Kids Playing has a 1 to 6 ratio. That’s one adult for every six kids. We wouldn’t have it any other way. Why? Because we want to make sure kids get the kind of one-on-one attention they need to evolve. It’s a smarter, safer way to do things.
Kids Playing is for boys and girls, K - 5th grade. While having fun is always front and center, so is helping kids develop a sense of confidence. Through various hands-on sports and leadership activities, kids learn how to respect themselves and each other. They learn that boys are boys and girls are girls, and that one isn’t any better or worse than the other. They’re equally wonderful and filled with potential. And that holds true whether they’re black or yellow, red or white.
Kids Playing puts the focus on fun through sportsmanship. Fun through cooperation. Fun through understanding diversity. Kids laugh. They learn. They have a great time. And, in the process, they grow.
Kids Playing puts more fun into the summer. It’s more than your everyday summer camp. It’s a training ground for the future. A place where kids can learn, explore and meet new friends. Where they can participate in hands-on, interactive events that challenge them both physically and mentally. Best of all, they’ll discover that learning can be a whole lot of fun.
Kids Playing is held at St. Scholastica Academy. We partner with St. Scholastica Academy because it offers the best, beautiful and secure grounds; wonderful classrooms; and a committed and caring staff who help the Kids Playing staff and campers at every turn.
